An Odd Number

A real Christian is an odd number, anyway.

He feels supreme love for One whom he has never seen;

talks familiarly everyday to someone he cannot see;

expects to go to heaven on the virtue of another;

empties himself in order to be full;

admits he is wrong so he can be declared right;

goes down in order to get up;

is strongest when he is weakest;

richest when he is poorest;

happiest when he feels the worst.

He dies so he can live;

forsakes in order to have;

gives away so he can keep;

sees the invisible;

hears the inaudible;

and knows that which passeth knowledge.

It is Christ

"It is not thy hold on Christ that saves thee; it is Christ.
It is not thy joy in Christ that saves thee; it is Christ.
It is not even thy faith in Christ, though that be the instrument; it is Christ’s blood and merit."
- C.H. Spurgeon

Movin' Movin'

Last weekend we moved from our farm to a small town 2 hours away.  Friends came to help us!

 Lunch break.

 Amy and Glory. =)

 Francis! =D

 The truck is loaded!!

 When we got to our new home more friends came to help unload.
We were blessed with so much good help!!
Ana and I unpacking the kitchen things. =)

Little Friends

 A neighbor family stopped by the evening before we moved to visit.
Their two boys were fascinated with the organ and enjoyed trying to play it.

 They also had fun showing us how to play games on their mom's phone!
It was so nice of them to come by and we enjoyed having them over. =)

Bridal Shower at the Miller's!

We ladies, along with our friend Grace and her mom, hosted a bridal shower for Ana last week.
We enjoyed the evening with dear friends!
 We arrived early so I could assemble the dessert.
Ana had to help me get started with the frosting for the cupcakes since it was so thick and stiff! (Thank you!)
Once she got it going I was able to finish the cupcake dress. :-)
 Grace's delicious and beautiful supper!

 Playing games!

Mrs. Miller sharing a devotional based on Eph 4:32
"And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you."

We are so thankful for all the friends the Lord has blessed us with in this area and will miss them when we move.  It was hard to say goodbye to them but we are only moving a few hours away so I know we will be able to see them again. =)

No Matter What!

"In Christ — no matter the road, the storm, the story — we always know the outcome.

Our Savior: surrounds.
Our future: secure.
Our joy: certain."

Chiune Sugihara...

....a man who saved 6000 Jews.
He was a Japanese diplomat in Lithuania, and when the Nazis began rounding up Jews Sugihara risked his life to start issuing unlawful travel visas to Jews. He hand-wrote them 18 hrs a day. The day his consulate closed and he had to evacuate, witnesses claim he was STILL writing visas and throwing from the train as he pulled away.
He risked his life to saved 6000 lives.
The world didn't know what he’d done until Israel honored him in 1985, the year before he died.

Ana's First Bridal Shower!

The ladies from church hosted a lovely bridal shower for Ana last Saturday!
Guessing how many chocolate kisses are in the jar. =)
( There are a bunch more ladies around the corner to the right.)

They all wrote out words of wisdom for the bride and pinned them to this board one of the ladies had made.
Then Ana read them all out loud. =)

So many lovely gifts!!
