Summer Square Dance!

Last Saturday we went to a dance at a friend's place.  They started off with the "Virginia Reel" and then went on to square dances!

It was a fun afternoon and I even though I couldn't dance, I really enjoyed watching and taking pictures.

Square Dance!!

We had a square dance in the basement of a local church this past Saturday afternoon.  I so enjoyed seeing people having such much fun together!!    

Square Dance!

Last weekend we went to a square dance that some friends put on with their church family.  We had not done very much square dancing before, but the caller introduced new moves one by one and we had SO much fun!!

They have been doing this for many many years. For music he has a small record player and old 45s!

First he had us all in one big circle to learn the most basic moves.

Then we broke up into squares of 4 couples each.

Besides Square dances we also did the Virginia Reel, and the Popcorn Dance (pictured above). :)
